Speak to a party wall surveyor.
Free, and with no obligation.
Ten minutes on the telephone is usually enough to tell you whether the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 applies, what your deadline actually is, and whether you need a surveyor at all. Sometimes the answer is that you do not, and we will say so.
If you have been served a notice and your 14 days are nearly up, please telephone rather than emailing. A dissent can be issued quickly and the detail sorted afterwards.
Direct
However you prefer.
What happens when you ring
- Our office answers. A member of our office team takes the details and books you a call with a surveyor, usually within one working day.
- The surveyor asks three things. What the letter says, what is planned next door, and when it is due to start.
- They tell you where you stand. If you do not need us, they say so and that is the end of it. If you do, you leave the call knowing the name of the surveyor handling your case.
